Gender Expression

This series is focused on how gender is expressed and what is conveyed. The gender identity of my subjects is expressed through fashion of what they wear and how they want people to see them. I told them to dress how they were comfortable. I wanted the models to dress how they usually did and be as natural as possible in their surroundings.

I photographed, like all my series, people in the LGBTQ+ community around Chicago.
